Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day / Trädgårdsbloggarnas dag

Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day is kindly hosted by Carol at May Dreams gardens. The 15th of each month, garden bloggers around the world write a post about what's blooming in their gardens. Please visit Carol's blog and read the comments for a gardening tour around the world!

My garden is quite luscious right now, due to the rains we've had lately. Several rose shrubs are still blooming - among them are Therese Bugnet (visited by a Beetle) and Lyda Rose:

Some of the hardy geraniums are also looking nice; Geranium albanum, Geranium pyrenaicum and Geranium pratense 'Splixh Splash are among them. This is Geranium 'Brookside' and Geranium wlassovianum:

Hibiscus syriacus 'Russian Violet' started to bloom a week ago. I just love the colour of this one! The flowers are pink when they are new and they slowly change into violet:

Anemone hupehensis and Anemone tomentosa are at their best right now. The delicate flowers are so very beautiful! This is Anemone tomentosa (the hardiest one):

Another plant with delicate flowers is Clematis Stans. The tiny, blue, bellshaped flowers are absolutely gorgeous - but you have to be very close and study them in detail to really notice their beauty!

Clematis macropetala
'Georg' is another favourite - I like both the colour and the shape of this one:

Phlox paniculata variegata 'Harlequin' and 'Rubymine' are blooming with gorgeous flowers and decorative foliage. Double joy!

The red Sedum telephium 'Purple Emperor' looks very nice with pink flowers contrasting against the deep, red foliage.

The somewhat shorter variety Sedum spectabile 'Brilliant' is also pretty with pink flowers and green foliage:

Heuchera 'Silver Scrolls' have the nicest flowers of all my heucheras. Even if the pink flowers are tiny, they are very beautiful:

Mina stockrosor blommar fortfarande i flera olika färger:

My Hollyhocks (Altháea rugosa) are still blooming in various colours:

Några andra plantor som blommar är: / Some other plants in bloom are:

Sálvia nemorosa
Thalictrum delavayi
Cymbalaria pallida
Lysimáchia punctáta
Fuchsia magellanica

But there is another plant which surprisingly enough is blooming again...but I'll save that one for next week...

Katarina you have a great selection of interesting flowering plants. They are all so very beautiful. The photos are so clear, I love them all but the soft pink Hollyhock with the darker eye has caught my special attention. I have seen the Heuchera in my sisters garden in Switzerland and I loved the little bells, the leaves are very attractive too. But, it won't do well in my climate.

Katarina, Everything looks lovely and I am especially intrigued by the clematis stans and georg! Very different flower form then I have seen before. The variegated phlox is a double treat...leaf and flower are good looking! Thank you for showing me your garden,
Gail

Hollyhocks are lovely, aren't they? Mine came to my garden mysteriously last year, I've no idea how they got there. Your yellow ones look just like mine.
Your heuchera are lovely, and I like the woman's face keeping watch over them.

How lovely all your blooms look. I like that clematis Stans very much and, like you, I am aso very fond of the pink flowering heuchera's.

It's fun to see hollyhocks flowering all over the world, well almost everywhere.

Happy GBBD!

Its so nice to see a green and luscious garden like yours, specially now that everything looks so dry in mine. Love the yellow hollyhocks, never seen them before (hollyhocks do very well in my climate...have to try and find me some)

I have a variegated Phlox but mine is called 'Creme de Menthe'. It is just a wisp of leaves and a tiny bloom this year, so I hope it makes it until next year!

Thanks for joining in for bloom day. Your garden does look lush and very beautiful right now.

Very lovely flower pictures, Katarina.
As you can see I am back home in Canada..the weather made us leave Sweden:)
Skunks? I don't mind having them around. We respect each other and there is enough space for all of us in our garden. Skunks feed on insects and "SNAILS" and I consider them quite useful.
-Cheers.

I'm waiting on some hibiscus to bloom and will be REALLY happy if they end up looking anything like yours. I also love that pale yellow color of your hollyhocks.

Hi there Katarina :-)

I enjoyed seeing all your blooms and my vote for favourite goes to Clematis Stans! I like your heuchera too - I am a fan of them also. Great selection :-D

Those little Clematis blooms are so charming! I've got to try some of them. Your variegated Phlox are wonderful, especially Rubymine. It would be beautiful even when not in flower. I how the foliage of the Heuchera 'Silver Scrolls' picks up the color of the foliage of Sedum 'Purple Emperor.'
