This weekend has been lovely - nice weather and lots of hard work in the garden. I've planted blueberry shrubs, Bramble and Chokeberry shrubs and I've declared war on the Goutweed in the vegetable garden that I've started to prepare. The dogs have kept me company and the butterflies have flewn from flower to flower in search for nectar. I've come to realize that I need to learn the names of at least the most common butterflies, so here's a pic of today's homework: Heodes phlaeas (don't know its English name, I'm afraid..).
A couple of white flowers that are blooming very nicely right now, are White Bloody Cranesbill, White Dame's Rocket and Anemone sylvestris (which seems to believe that spring har returned..!):
If I didn't have the very best profession and the nicest pupils of all, I would have loved to be on vacation for a few more weeks. My war on the Goutweed has only just started, and I want to continue fighting!
