The birch is my favorite tree and thrives thoughout northern Michigan's cooler climate. We have several in the woods and land surrounding our UP NORTH cottage, (and I am planting more). Hearty river birch survive better in southern Michigan. I love taking beautiful shots like yours ... the white bark against the blue sky :)

What a beautiful shot. I love laying in my lounge chair and looking up at the trees.
